MitchWagner, apparently Now is being virtually connected! Interesting slides - I like the Industry Insights (which will/can drive value) and the Making It Simple with convergence. Great show!

Re: Future: Tense
@bayte, thanks. The point you make about everything being virtual, I would agree IF it is connected to a network or platform. That is where the added value comes in and is truly transformative. I believe the connectedness has the biggest impact; just as the internet's prime value is the connected networks. This extends the linkages, resources, etc., and provides "virtual" networks, where the new value is created.

Re: Future: Tense
I found this discourse to be especially poignant--we are all futurists because today is the future that we live through. The question is whether we have to be overwhelmed by it--or excited by it. With the open source revolution, the commoditization of hardware, service and the advent of technologies scratching the surface, why can't we embrace the future? Isn't that the bottom line message as we're winding down the first month of 2016?

Re: Future: Tense
There is no question we are already here. I would also humbly suggest that somehow we have to make sure the human touch is maintained in order to create further value. Sitting in front a computer is not necessarily conducive to progress.

Re: Future: Tense
mouraryan, indeed we have not kept pace with technology! The human intelligence applied to the technology capabilities can offer us so many new opportunities. We haven't begun to scratch the surface!

Re: Future: Tense
The key is to remember not to lose the human touch as we strive for more "value add" services and engagement which includes trends like Cognitive learning/etc. that we've had a chance to deliberate on here.
