Re: interesting to know
There is no question that Telcos are dealing with headwinds.   It has been quite fun to have joined the discourse so far as we're witness to the transformation.    Telcos are looking at new streams of revenues and assessing the tech transformation that is yet to work itself out.   This is especially as players we have not thought about are also in the "Telco" business--including Google (that I have some of my Virtual infrastructure on) and Facebook (which I would humbly suggest is a Telco Company especially as WhatsApp new beta app being released underscores).

Interesting times we live in...no question....

..but as this change occurs as I hope you agree (along with all) is to insure we maintain the human touch, never let it overwhelm while harness the very forces it unleashes as a force for good @batye.

Re: interesting to know
Telco lag behind in several other industries. They will have to be a major industry shift for telcos as well as for Telco CEOs. The industry still has a chance to become viable as it once was but this will require innovation and insight.

Re: interesting to know
Yes, good points.

I think in order for Telco to become bigger and bigger there needs to be some innovation and some new, bright ideas. It's important to always have fresh insight in order to compete with all the other businesses out there. As long as Telco can stay ahead of the game, or at least with level with the rest of competition.
