Re: AT&T's Donovan blew it out of the water
Good point.

I agree that all consumers really want is a reliable and fast connection. I think with moving forward towards digital trasformation the consumers still want the same. They want to have a reliable, fast, and easy digital transformation.

Everything is moving towards digital and I think all the consumers want is to not get lost in the huge changing process. I think it would be a good idea if the consumers were involved from the start of this digital process. So they too can learn what really is happening with the transformation.

As I read your thoughts @freehe I could not help but wonder you'd classify what Facebook did wish a big push on V/R at MWC in the same vein.       The transformation is gratifying to be witness to--the question is to what end?

Digital transformation feeds the consumer appetite for instant gratification made possible years ago by advertisers providing any product or service in 60 seconds or less. Digital transformation will continue to advance our day-to-day functions for individuals and businesses.

As long as the move towards "open standards" ensures the safety and security for all.  That should be the driving force more than anything else.

True, but at the same time, if you're a carrier, the speed and the quality are what you have going for you if you're going to justify charging me the high prices you charge me.

To speak of "buying into standards," I think Randall Munroe got it right on the money.
