@Batye yes, I believe overall calling costs have fallen, particularly for long distance.

Re: 80% in the cloud
@Joe Stanganelli I could not agree more as consumers always end up paying at the end one way or other....

Re: 80% in the cloud
Yes, good point!
Hopefully because they're saving some money with the cloud the prices will lower. That would be great because as of now cell phone prices are through the roof. I don't have AT&T. I have Verizon and those prices are crazy too, but my friends and family talk about AT&T prices.

Re: 80% in the cloud
@Joe I couldn't agree more. It encapsulates a great deal about attitudes, expectations, and the shock of reality.
Re: 80% in the cloud
@Ariella: Just goes to show... Everyone loves added regulation of those big, mean, evil carriers -- until they realize that the regulatory costs get passed directly on to them as consumers.

Re: 80% in the cloud
@Joe I don't know if it's theirs exclusively, but they certainly do apply it. Allt he promotional ads have some fine print about plus fees, rental equipment charges, etc. that means the price listed is less than what you will actually pay.
Re: 80% in the cloud
Of course, I tend to think that Verizon hardly holds the telco monopoly on undisclosed fees. ;)
