levels of digital transformation
I think it is a great option or idea to have different levels of the digital world offered if they can to the public like the operations part etc. Because things are going virtual/digital so I think services like this should be available for us etc.

Re: levels of digital transformation
And, it will really help companies (especially mid-market companies) improve their bottom lines. Larger companies already do all of this, really, it just needs to be implemented across the board...and companies will really see a number of benefits when they begin offering their customers more/better digital experiences.

@Ariella, indeed - urgency is rquired if they want to stay relevant and competitive.  I also note with interest our shared vision in the focus on "reskill" for the workforce to develop the capability in people.

@Writerfo10281, it truly does become a equalizer in creating a new playing field that opens the doors to all.  The mid-size, and even small companies, can find their niche, leverage a platform, become part of a service supply chain, or whatever they choose.  It becomes a new opportunity to unleash new value through these three levels.

@batye, thanks.  I believe Rob has outlined an excellent vision, with the 3 levels of transformation.  Each level opens new doors, and create new channels for businesses of all sizes.

Re: levels of digital transformation
I agree that culture change is a huge issue in the telco industry. I worked at a telco company for six years and it tooks years to implement a major initiative due to culture change issues. We had to get buy-in from the CEO first, get a memo sent to all employees, meet one-on-one with all the department heads and line managers, then conduct information sessions with key employees from each department. It was quite laborious.

Companies that will remain competitiive regarding digital transformation are those that are data driven. Many companies have huge volumes of data sitting on servers or in storage that is not being used. Companies will have to learn how to get the right data at the right time and analyze that data to provide real-time decisions to increase their revenue and remain competitive.

TM Forum provides a good overview of the challenges businesses face https://www.tmforum.org/.

Emarketer also provides some good research on the topic http://www.emarketer.com/.
