@freehe What you describe, I think, is not atypical for corporations in general. They really have to break out of that mold to become agile and fully competitive. Thanks for the links.

@freehe, culture truly can be a key barrier to digital transformation to an agile company.  It represents control and unless you change those controls and build a new open environment, the data will not be shared and the business and user transformations will not take place.

If a company wants ultimate control then they would be better off not investing in the technology and creating hallow value.

@freehe--The six years it took your company to implement an initiative seem like they would be a challenge unto themselves...it's hard to look ahead one year, let alone six. I'm sure that was a challenge; as they say in the video, companies really need to plot and decide 'Where do we fit in?' and figure out their niche rather than just try to do it all at once (and do it all poorly). Planning for six years would get it right, but I'm sure it must be difficult, and worrisome, hoping your changes are still timely at that point...

Digital User Experience
All levels here re important and influential when dealing with digital transformation, but I think the most crucial level to tackle is the digital user experience.

It's so important these days to stay on trend and realz where consumers are moving towards. What kind of things do they want? What kind of digital experience are they used to? What new technology is out there that the consumers are interested in?

All important questions and I think if that level is tackled then the rest should come easy.
