Marketing over security
I chose security because I HOPE that will be the real focus for 2016. I assume marketing will win out in the end...

Security Needs to be the Priority
I think it's interesting that Network Intelligence is currently the highest picked option right now. With all of the hacking that seems to happen anymore, especially hacking that seems to take our financial data, I would think security would, and should, always be the highest priority. Heck, it seems extremely plausible that the voter registration accounts in Arizona were hacked into to mess with people's ability to vote. Something similar happened in New York on Tuesday. Security needs to be the priority, always.

Re: Security Needs to be the Priority
@elizabethv, I agree. I worked in IT security for six years and so many companies, large well known companies have very lax security measures. They don't include security in their new development of products and services. They wait until a data breach happens and then take action.

Being proactive saves money, being reactive increase the cost 3X.

Security should ALWAYS be a top priority sadly it is not. We already have standards but companies don't use them. I would love to see a security collaboration forum when companies actually look to experts to find the latest security products and services to protect company and customer data.

Re: Security Needs to be the Priority
@freehe - I completely agree, companies end up paying out much more if they don't take precautions initially. So many don't in lieu of the cost. To me it just makes sense, make sure your sites are secure, take care of your customers. Customers will appreciate knowing their information is secure. But I have at least 3, different credit monitioring services right now, from 3 different cards that had breached security at some point last year and as an "apology" have given me free credit monitioring. Which is nice I suppose, but they could have spent the money to keep my information safe from the get go instead..... Hindsight, I suppose.

Re: Security Needs to be the Priority
That is crazy!

I couldn't imagine going through that..the frustration! But yeah, it is funny isnt it? They give you free credit monitoring now, but your information should have been safe from the start..And for it to happen three different times is ridiculous!
