Re: Biiggest Security Nightmare
I also feel like data is not kept at the highest security measure possible. When things get out whether it be music, pictures, information, etc the costumes lose faith and trust with a company.

Biiggest Security Nightmare
I believe the weakest link is data protection. This is a critical component of security. Many companies focus on business development and implementation of new products and services but limit the amount of money spent on security and data protection. When data is not protected the cost to recover increases to the nth power.

Re: Insider threats and social engineering
Cyber War, @batye, is the new front--and there have been many stories on it--whether it was the cyber attack on Iran, Iran's Counter Attack which led to indictments by the US Attorney in New York Recently. It should not discourage us though--and as someone who has been a subject of attack, I will remain optimistic.
Have a great rest of the weekend.

Re: Insider threats and social engineering
What is clear to me is that what I will deem a "Digital Civil War" seems to be the order of the day and the threats laid out in this poll is just a sampling of the true reality. I can't help but wonder--can we ever win?
Insider threats and social engineering
Under which heading would "Insider Threats" fall? "Data loss prevention"? Or a missing "Other" category?
In any case, my vote would go toward social engineering.
