They want until a security event occurs and then quickly react to fix the problem which is just a temporary solution until the next security event occurs. It puzzles me why companies only invest money in business development but don't invest the same amount in security, securing their data and systems and customer data. The cost to secure data after an event occurs grown exponentially versus being proactive and putting security measures in place early on. I have always said and believed that security for businesses is what's most important. Not only for the businesses themselves, but their customers. I also think that a business will only worry about security when something is happening and they'll give it the attention then. I think security should always be given the attention is deserves or bad things can happen to the business and consumers will lose trust.
