Yahoo's core business now worth $3 Billion?
Without Alibaba, Yahoo had almost negative value... but now it's worth 3 unicorns. Interesting times at Yahoo.
Re: AT&T Kicking the Tires
@Michelle: You're being very kind to call it "tough". It is tougher than tough. Hardware is typically a loss-leader and it is even becoming even more crucial now. I am sure folks at Dell et. al may disagree.

Searching was inside the network only (filing cabinets). I would have had a very different job in those days!

Re: AT&T Kicking the Tires
Granted, most companies didn't have their own websites yet back then!
(And we had to walk a mile in the snow just to find a search engine ... )

Re: AT&T Kicking the Tires
@Michelle Yes! Lol! It was back in the days where we had to get special approval from your divison's VP to get "outside email" to be able to email anyone who didn't work there. (This was part of Weyerhaueser - not some small business)
And you needed to get the company president to approve an actual "internet browsing" account :)

Re: AT&T Kicking the Tires
@mp they are undergoing a lot of changes these days. Long gone are the days of ol' for them. Hardware is a tough business, wouldn't you agree? Mobile is so different than we expected.

Re: AT&T Kicking the Tires
Agreed.
Those who control/provide Internet access wield control over the accessibility of content, which could lead to de-facto censorship, especially as content ownership/access come into play.
