Re: Open ROAD Community
@mhhf1ve, I believe that is key to providing a more certain environment (ie disputed territory).  I also believe that increasingly the education levels will be a key differentiator.  Those are two strong advantages for them.

Re: Open ROAD Community
Singapore's population isn't exactly huge, but they are highly educated and located in a very accessible spot. Taiwan might have better access to manufacturing -- but Singapore isn't a disputed territory....

Re: Open ROAD Community
@mhhf1ve, very interesting!  I had not previously thought of them as an tech or innovation center - makes sense.

I think we will be surprised over the next several years at who become leaders.  I had also heard that Taiwan is a leading center, but Singapore appears to be better suited to move beyond Asia, as you point out.

Singapore is a great place for innovations and building a tech community with potential to expand far outside Asia. Maybe Singapore will become like a Las Vegas in Asia for industry conventions (except with much more strict laws).

Re: Open ROADS Meeting
@batye, I believe it will.  Both because of the leadership of Huawei and because the platform and advancement of technology in open communities typically develops new and improved solutions.  It outperforms most of the time.
