Deng
He's a busy guy. We just had him on our OPEN-O webinar earlier this week. All of the panelists were very upbeat about collaboration via OPEN-O.

Re: Deng
I think my favorite aspect of that video is how clear it is that Hui Deng is not just laying out policy, but inviting everyone to come play in his yard and share his toys. This isn't collaboration by necessity, or collaboration because everyone has agreed it's the future -- this is collaboration for the pure joy of working together and sharing. It's pretty rare to see that kind of pure enthusiasm at that level, and very refreshing to be reminded that mostly what's being created is the tools for people to make their own lives easier and more fun.

china mobile systems
Of course china would be more advanced in the US and with their mobile devices so if they want to branch out and merged with other business which will mean more money for them in a way.

Re: Deng
@JohnBarnes Couldn't agree more.  A case of open source breeds open collaboration. It works best with those coming to 'play' with an open mind.

Ecosystem Development
Contrary to popular belief, the U.S. is not a leader in technology. We have made many advances but overall China, Switzerland and other countries are more advanced.

China recognizes at its core that companies must collaborate and cooperate to remain competitive and advance in their industry.

Deng on Ecosystem
Deng doesn't have an ego unlike many U.S. executives. Here realizes the importance of collaboration. No one company knows everything or can provide all services. Collaboration is key to the future success of any company.

Hopefully this trend will wander over to U.S. companies.
