Re: Predicition
@dlr5288 - it could be a combination of the devices you're using and the signal you're receiving. And as far as Facebook's live streaming, I actually find it annoying with all of the emoji's floating across the screen with people saying how they feel about the content. I tend to lose my patience quickly, and with live streaming, if there was too much lag, I would definitely bail long before it ended (unless it was really short.) But technology will only get better, maybe it'll catch up with the concept at some point and they won't lose viewers to lag.

Re: Predicition
Personally, I'm not a big fan of live streaming. I always find it difficult to hold a good long lasting picture. I don't really enjoy it, but maybe that has something to do with the devices I'm using..

Re: Predicition
@afwriter - Lol, you're so right! It's presented as such a novel concept, and yet realistically, it has in some form existed as long as television has. Though the ability to stream FOX live on your phone sounds impressive. Not that I truly watch FOX all that much, much less enough to warrant paying someone to let me watch it. I'm sure some people watch it more, they must. So maybe this would be a great option for them.

Re: Predicition
@afwriter - Yes, I think there's a slippery slope for a lot of OTT services where they need to aggregate content to have a strong value proposition, but then find that the monthly charge for that is no better than a pay TV service and might well end up being worse. So...I think finding that perfect balance where the cost is low but you have a competitive content library may just end up being impossible.

Predicition
Live streaming isn't working on my Roku TV app yet.  I predict that this initiative will fail unless they go full free.  People are cutting the cord to save money, they don't want to keep their cable subscription just so they can use the fox app.  That is why I have a antenae that I paid 40 bucks for and can "stream live TV" from.
