Re: Enhancing Advertising Capabilities
@faryl, your point is a good one and an example of "dumb" marketing.  I fully agree with you - the opportunity to provide relevant information to interested markets, based on customized and personalized interests, would be a much stronger market and appeal to customers.  The advertisers that catch on to that should have a winning proposition.

Re: VTAB 4 Areas
Both OTT and 4K have the ability to impact the bottom line pretty quickly. How about an OTT 4K service? I think that would be really useful.

Quality and ability to obtain content at any time are things that customers will pay for when it comes to video, that's for sure.

Enhancing Advertising Capabilities
I'm surprised this hasn't been a bigger priority. There seems to be plenty of ad opportunities wasted on streaming services - the same ad played repeatedly, often with no real ties to demographics related to the content or the specific viewer. The fact that so much content is accessed via individual logon/accounts/profiles, yet sponsorship doesn't be at all tailored to even the watcher's location, strikes me as a loss of potential ad revenue as well as not maximizing the success of the ad campaigns.

Re: VTAB 4 Areas
@clrmoney, interesting survey.

I believe that video will be a leading technology moving forward - and I believe it will drive the flexibilities you mention.

I also find interesting the identification of OTT, I believe that will be a driver as well.
