Re: Pay-TV
I find this incredibly interesting.  With all my complaining about American cable it sounds like we have it pretty easy over here.

Re: Pay-TV
@elizabethv due to the limitation of content due to the lobby, many customers in Canada do have Netflix and Pay-TV via TV service provider like satelite and cable... plus Roku and Kodi... as people have to jump via hoops to get USA content they wanna watch in Canada... sad reality as TV Corporations in Canada controls our airwaves and internet... sad reality...

Pay-TV
I don't have Pay-TV, so I don't genuinely know the answer to this, but if you have Pay-TV that offers you Netflix, don't you still have to pay to have a Netflix account? So are you paying double? Netflix and your TV provider? I do kind of think having both is a little redundant, if you have Pay-TV, why do you need Netflix/Amazon/Hulu? I have those services because I DON'T have Pay-TV. I guess some people would feel the need, but if that's the case, I would also think it would follow that you would pay for that feeling? If the Pay-TV provider has to pay to offer you the service, it would only make sense that they would charge you to have it. Though I would think as an add-on option would be the best route, that way if someone wanted it they could have it, but it was easy enough to opt-out of as well.
