Re: AT&T's On Demand Services
We can add many more--including Xerox and some of the ones who are no longer with us who did not see into the future--although I was shocked to see that SGI was still around as it was recently bought out--I remember how the SGI CEO at the time questioned Bill Gates' and his strategy--I wonder what he says now!!

The only key lesson to be learnt as we deliberate transformation is this: Be Humble--it is a good trait to have.

@mpouraryan,
Great advice! The greatest risk is what you don't know and no one knows it all - so we are all at risk - thanks for reminding us!

Re: AT&T's On Demand Services
Grateful for your kind thoughts--but I would be irresponsible in noting that this is a lesson that the great Jim Collins reminded us all as he developed the concept of Level 5 Leadership which is at the heart of it is the notion of humility--although some companies seem to forget that (without getting too political about it since it is not our mission here in TT).

Re: AT&T's On Demand Services
@mpouraryan, Jim Collins' philosophy is greatly admired indeed! Agreed power can sometimes derail good companies - which successful telco companies is our mission - so very effective thoughts about good leadership.

..and to your point, I view AT&T as being on the forefront as its' CEO was named by CEO Magazine as CEO of the Year as i finished reading a profile of him recently.

But every AT&T CEO, there are many who unfortunately fail that test--and there lies the challenge.
