Re: DevOps Potholes
Then how do we create that "culture" so that they will not be beholden per se to Wall Street and the VC Community?   How do we elevate it whereby all think for the long-term?

Re: DevOps Potholes
@mpouraryan, now you are thinking!  (many don't like to do that!)

That's the real separation in leadership with those who truly lead transformations, they are willing to build new results.  Others prefer to quickest path to results.  Real leadership makes a difference in the long run.

Re: DevOps Potholes
Here is the bigger question that I hope all with TT have a chance to reflect upon:  Why we are so impatient?   Why are we so not impressed?   I also underscore this because a recent story on Netflix (something we deliberated last month) asked the question about the kind of company it wants to be--it seems as if keeping people excited about it.....

@mpouraryan, yes, you cannot create miracles on a daily basis!

They view the extraordinary as the bar for the next level of performance.

Based on the reporting I saw (and we talked numbers) Stock was down .3 percent....let's see what tomorrow brings.   It is becoming, frankly, tougher-isn't it?

@mpouraryan, indeed!  That will prove how well thought out and artful this design and transformation is.  Disruptive is OK if it creates something else.

Re: DevOps Potholes
Since we're talking transformation--the folks in the Apple Ecosystem will have some "rethinking to do"--for instance, one company is OlloClip that will have a challenge to be "around"--32 Gb/128 Gb/256 GB sizes...at $ 649 for the base model.....

Anyway, as I said, proof in the numbers!!!!

Re: DevOps Potholes
@mpourayran yeah, well, I'm more impressed by people who deliver more than they promise rather than those who claim to be doing big things when they're only changing a port on a phone.
