survey
Do you know how many people were surveyed and from what kinds of organizations?

Re: survey
For a long time, startups have been focusing on the user. They have done what they can to make users happy. This is completed in a number of ways: By providing speed, efiiciency and low cost. Operators need to do the same thing. It will happen, but it will be a slow move to a user-centric model.

Re: survey
Identity, identity, identity.
It's a problem that many companies are trying to tackle. And I would argue we need less centralized identity services and more that are distributed. Identity is sensitive information.

Digital Transformation Challenges
"The interesting thing about operators that are transforming is that very few understand the critical role that digital identity plays in their transformation plans,"
Telco employees focus on ensuring infrastruture works and do not focus on customers. Companies should move towards a customer-centric view with customers, vendors, partners and suppliers.
Companies must develop and strengthen relationships with vendors, partners and suppliers. They must change to the view of a business solution provider/partner versus us vs them.

Re: Digital Transformation Challenges
Yes, it's super important to have good partnerships. Not only for the consumers, but for the companies themselves and to better themselves.

Challenges of digital transformation
They should focus on the challenges like the infrastructure etc.so that it can be a better model for them and us.

Infographic detail
Hi Mike,
It would be useful to know what the A, B and C details are. The magnified infographic doesn't meet this customer's expectations :)

Re: Infographic detail
Mike, making it big enough in high enough resolution to read is a good start.
Now, how about four flat bulleted lists, text only, without a graphic thumb-theme or so much space and visual noise wasted in separating and highlighting? Seriously, these are not infographics. These are graphics with some info concealed in them.
Re: Infographic detail
Thanks for your input John. Yes, in hindsight I realize this infographic is not high res enough. I should have checked that prior to sending it to the art departement for formatting. On the infographics that we create we do follow some of your suggestions by trying to keep them simple with just a few elements. Apologies that this one is difficult to read and too cluttered for your taste but there is the link that provides a better view.

Re: Infographic detail
pmassam,
Glad to see someone else was irritated too. This "infographic" is a classic case of what happens when you hand the graphics to graphic designers. There's no valid reason for any of the Purty L'il Pitchers in it; all of the structuring of the information could have been done in a flat bulleted list in readable type, separated into text boxes if there was a fear of losing the connection between subpoints and the points they support/elaborate on.
It's the sort of thing that Garry Trudeau parodized so well when USAToday was new and bringing it into "news" "reporting":

Unfortunately, ridicule was insufficient to kill it, but at least let it be noted: Purty L'il Pitchers are a bug, not a feature, and are antithetical, not enabling, for understanding.

Re: Infographic detail
@JohnBarnes, thanks for your comments. I was puzzled as well by the layout.

Re: Infographic detail
I am disappointed that the art department produced this. Someone from the art department should have done a quality review check to ensure the graphic was readable on multiple platforms, desktops, different configurations, laptops, iphones, ipads, smartphones, tables, etc.
