Re: VIdeo
I agree.

i think making video better is usually a slow process, but with this pairing I think it makes a lot o sense and could really push video farther along.

DevOps Jargon
Not famiilar with LBGUPS, but Hart does hit the main points of the DevOps CALMS mantra. Lots of talk about Culture, with cross-functional teams, relating also to the last word/letter in the acronym, Sharing. He slips Automation in with a reference to orchestration and JBoss. With hundreds instead of a handful of releases, some "rather minor enhancements," he nails the Lean principle. Then there's the benchmarking, reference to efficiency wins which all require Measurement,

Re: VIdeo
It does make sense in terms of breaking down the service silos, but I hadn't really thought of it for video as well. But he does make the point that those DevOps best practices can apply to almost anything at Cox. He's pretty sharp.

@dcawrey I could not agree more.  I was also surprised to learn about the video aspect of it all.

VIdeo
Nice article. I had never really considered the significance of DevOps on video, but what it could do to improve a product like that would indeed be immense. Because video improvements are hard to define and are more evolutionary, this pairing makes a ton of sense.
