Masergy's SD-WAN Value Proposition
@Mike, excellent interview. I think Mr. Watson has an excellent vision for positioning Masergy and SD-WAN as supplemental capabilities to solve the enterprise business problems.
This focuses on the value of the "simplified" service provided by virtualized networks and the technology as a service rather than solely the technology itself.
The name is pronounced "Mace-UR-gee"
The correct pronunciation for Masergy is "mace-ER-gee"
If you counter: "But I've been saying the name Masergy as 'masser-GEE' at industry events for fifteen years," then you've been saying it wrong for fifteen years.
It's never to late to get it right.
Re: The name is pronounced "Mace-UR-gee"
Thanks. If I can find the "way back machine" I will correct it.
Re: The name is pronounced "Mace-UR-gee"
This reminds me of the "What's the proper way to pronounce GIF?" debate.
Anyway, FWIW, my take is this: If the proper pronunciation of your company's name is unintuitive, you've selected a poor company name.

I couldn't agree with you more--I struggled with my own start-up, the Daily Outsider, on this very question as I am working on trying to somehow take it to the next level. It has to be catchy--and it has to resonate.

@batye, thanks! That is what will open the doors to new users who can change operations and create opex savings that will drive further use. Then you are truly expanding the markets beyond those who already see it as a solution.

@mpouraryan, good point on effective "branding" - the key to establishing an effective market. Sounds like great experience.
