Re: VR and OTT
I hope all are able to keep track of #CES2017 as we all step back and deliberate the transformational element of it here--some cool gadgets introduced and reported by the Washington Post is quite an eye opener:

The future is already here--whether we like it or not.

:)

@mpouraryan I think from what I read, with new robotics technologies picking it up, new 2017 year will be a game changer... but time will tell...

Re: VR and OTT
I just finished a brief newsflash for the Daily Outsider as I have been seeing the trickle of announcements out of #CES2017 in Las Vegas.    Some "snippets of Utopia seems evident with some real cool robots that they've announced.

Re: VR and OTT
Automation is definitely a trend... and it's aiming to start another industrial revolution. It may be a rough start, though, at first. When steam engines replaced all the horses and other labor animals, people didn't really seem to care that much about the well being of the animals, but now that *people* are being replaced by software... are we going to do anything about all the career re-training?

Sure, there are optimists who believe that AI automation is going to open up the economy for more leisure and better lifestyles.. but the path to Utopia from where we are now doesn't look obvious.

Re: VR and OTT
Thanks @mhhf1ve for your thoughts--but folks like AT&T seem to disagree as we 're increasingly seeing automation at the heart of it all--wouldn't you agree?

> "would AI be the game changer to help overcome ... bad customer service?"

That sounds like a hard problem! But maybe machine learning algorithms can reduce wait times and get customer service reps to come up with solutions faster? Actually, I think AI might be better suited for "self serve" customer service. Basically, more interactive FAQs and ways to help customers help themselves...

@batye:  You ended at "but..."--You left us all hanging.  I hope you are able to expand on it--glad to see you are a fan of Nintendo.
