Keeping Up with the Netflixes
Maxdome is doing great work.

It is great that they are offering content on all devices and differentiating through content curation. They have great leadership by partnering with broadband providers and negotiating deals and creating new relationships.

Streaming without internet is great. This should be available on planes, trains and buses.

@Adi true, the algorithms are at the heart of its business model. If you offer your customer just what s/he wants, your service is much more valuable than if you just offer random selections that makes the customer have to labor through filtering out the chaff from the wheat.

@dcawrey - that's certainly the Netflix goal - to simply present you with the shows they have determined you want to watch. Wrote something on this a while back.

Re: Maxdome on Netflix
I continue to believe content discovery is difficult on these platforms. However, experimentation should be able to change the dynamics here. I think we've only touched the surface of where this could go in finding proper content for people.

Imagine when consumers don't even have to worry about discovery anymore. It will happen - eventually.

Mood selections
I'm intrigued by the mood selection "lane" - so if you're angry do you get action movies with lots of explosions, or do they try and calm you down with idyllic scenery and period romances?

Re: uh..
It is a great movie, a little over the top, but unfortunately not that far over the top.   Funny or die also just turned Trump's The art of Doing Business into a comedy movie that is available on Netflix or Amazon.
