LSO has to offer
They have the virtualization and networks to make it work and it's great for them so continue in whatever works because networking and virtualization is the future.

LSO is the future. If companies want to remain competitive they will have to incorporate virtualization.

It is great that Cisco realized the need to provide an option for companies that still use legacy system with Tail-f to allow them to translate commands for legacy equipment.

I don't know if legacy systems will ever be retired.

Time will tell what the future holds.

@Claudio, you said, <What will take time is the API standards and vendor interoperability, which will accelerate its adoption.> When you say "take time," do you have a particular period of time in mind? Two years, three years, or longer?

<The orchestration can happen before the standardization of network elements and their virtualization.>

That's an important attribute, in my opinion. All transitions have to start somewhere, and having systems that can work with legacy halps manage the cost of the evolution -- rather than forcing a forklift upgrade.

Re: LSO has to offer
I agree. I think virtualization and networking definitely have a place in the future. It'll be interesting to see how it will change five years from now.
