Re: TV Time
It is not easy--but it has to be--and the challenge by all providers is to realize it somehow.  One thing I use is RescueTime that has seen me do a reduction of almost 20% in my online use.

Re: TV Time
That's a great way to do things. I try not to get caught up in my devices, especially lately. I really want to be involved when there's people around me.

Re: TV Time
What I try and do is to "digitally detox"--I note this simply because at some stage one has to decide when "enough is enough"--and I would argue folks are truly there now.   Although beyond the scope of our deliberations, the current giants have to be careful too--for instance Economist of London last week noted the threats to Amazon as it continues to grow...grow..and grow....It is a challenging prospect--that is epitomized for instance at some of the struggles for instance at Disney's ESPN.

Re: TV Time
Definitely! I think it's just become the norm for people to be on more than one device at a time.

Re: TV Time
I'm the opposite! I like my laptop, but my phone is always with me! It's getting to the point where if I don't have it I feel anxious..definitely not good.

Re: TV Time
As I am working away, I am listening to a live feed of Al Jazeera, have my iPAD being used as my second screen while monitoring my Twitter Feeds as part of my on-going commitments to my company @DailyOutsider--sign of the times, I guess!!! :) :)

Re: TV Time
@dlr5288:

That has become standard these days. It is very rare to see someone watching TV dedicatedly without having another device on the side. There could be few out there , but not very common any more.

@dlr5288:

I bet that would be a challenge,  good one to give it a try. Good Luck !

I am good with phone as i am not a person that use phone much. But i am addicted to having my laptop with me all the time. This way atleast i am convinced that i am not straining my eyes as much as i could by using phone for long.

Re: TV Time
It's weird how we've all become accustomed to doing that. I don't know when it happened, but you're right. A lot of people are using more than one device at a time.
