Bell Canada Joins AT&T's ECOMP Roster
This article is very important to read especially if your interested in AT&T network because it talks about the Bell Canada tapping into AT&T's ECOMP platforms to create and manage it's software-defined the networks. I can't believe that the BCE Inc. is Canada's largest communication company. I found this article very helpful because I didn't know alot about this BCE Inc. until I read this article so I really enjoyed this article.

Re: BCE joins AT&T
That doesn't seem clear to me either at this point. I guess we'll find out, although it would make the most sense for them to support what's already out there. Any reason why they wouldn't? I noticed to made mention of these being commercial deployments...

Re: BCE joins AT&T
I agree, the Linux Foudnation has the people and proccesses in place, but it at some point it may need to decide if the industry is better served by ECOMP or OPEN-O. This pact between the vendors is interesting because it's supporting NFV that is already commercially in use. So are they essentially saying they're going to support their NFV products/platforms that are already out there?

Re: BCE joins AT&T
@dcawrey It makes sense because the values of open source are the very core of the Linux foundation. Some others are joining that bandwagon now, but it is not as definitive for their visions as it is for Linux.

Re: BCE joins AT&T
Ah, the Linux Foundation. It seems that every open source project just gets that Linux brand on there and - off to the races!

I can't fault the Linux Foundation for their model, they're literally the only ones able to do it that way...

This looks like progress is being made for SDN deployment. More standards are being adopted and agreed to as more carriers get on board...

How many other platforms are there...? What will the market merge to: 2 or 3 different standards?

BCE joins AT&T
The BCE or Bell Canada is a communications provider and them teaming up with AT&T is great for business and revenue for both.
