I agree! And because security is such an in depth and so crucial for businesses makes it that much more important to get right.

The recent DDOS service attack underscores your point @KelseyZiser in this regard.   This is probably why Insurance companies are not as keen yet on iOT especially at home: http://www.wsj.com/articles/wi-fi-linked-home-security-gadgets-arent-lowering-insurance-premiums-1482402603 (may require a registration).    The road continues to be perilous.

One thing iOT has a challenge with is convincing insurance companies.   Today's Wall Street Journal story was quite striking in the skepticism by Insurance companies.   It just seems to me that there needs to be a bit more of an effort by iOT vendors to work on transforming the perception--which is at the heart of it.

IOT has a lot to offer and with their cyber securities online and they have to make sure things stay in order and monitor the system etc.

Definitely a lot of factors to consider in improving security for IoT and Ray makes a good point that IoT is going to grow significantly over the next few years. It's a huge challenge but it's going to be critical to build in security during the manufacturing process and for service providers to collaborate on security strategies.
