@srufolo1:

You are completely right about it. It is pretty rare instance that whole family can agree to watch same show on TV. Even if that occurs everyone still has a second thing going on the side.

Re: Transformation for 2017
@Michelle I remember the days that a family sat in front of the TV watching Disney on Sundays or Bonanza. What with non-linear viewing, and a ton of different devices to view on, I just don't see that happening anymore. But maybe in some households, if there is a favorite thing on Netflix, a family would assemble in the TV room and watch together on a weekend or something like that.

I hadn't thought of it much before, but you're probably right about a lack of family watching. I can imagine there are plenty of homes where everyone is very separate like that.

Re: Transformation for 2017
@ms.akkineni  I suppose, that is if an entire family even watches anything together anymore. Everyone seems to be doing their own thing on their device of choice. There is a good selection of shows out there. I guess you pick the provider that is streaming more of your favorites.

@srufolo1:

Yeah, sometimes that could be a problem but may not be all the time. For me personally it has been working out in terms of settling down with something that me / my family like / agree to watch.

Yes, I agree with your thoughts on sports network monopoly. Let's hope for some good changes in future.

Re: Transformation for 2017
@ms.akkineni Perhaps the problem is, although you can view anything at anytime, are these shows REALLY what you want to see?

Re: Transformation for 2017
@ms.akkineni I can't understand why a network has to monopolize sports, but you are right. There could be major changes by next year, especially with all these mergers and acquisitions. The comfort food was delicious, though, and there were no New York teams in the SuperBowl, so we didn't miss it too much.

@srufolo1:

I made that assumption that you no longer have cable TV and are using an alternate option. But hey, we never know what is in store come next year by superbowl time. We will only sit tight to see what would come along the way....
