Accenture Business
Accenture should have more data like 10G or more when customers need to access the internet, videos etc.

Re: Accenture Business
We're all already relying on public cloud services. And we're going to become even more reliant over time. That's just going to be the way this technology develops. Is that a good thing? I think it is because there is a lot more efficiency in cloud than the old datacenter. As long as it can remain redundant, I think we're good.
Re: Accenture Business
@dcawrey: It is for this reason that federal agencies, bolstered by NIST, have been advocating for and trying to get cloud regulated as a public utility for years.
Of course, with the current anti-regulatory administration, that now seems far less likely for at least the nearish future.

Re: Accenture Business
As we are witness to the 2nd Week of the Trump Administration (and how it has promised to cut regulation), I wonder if what is at hand will be sustained. So far, things have been "kind of" chaotic on a braod basis.
Re: Accenture Business
I am not very sure if we will be able to sustain what we have in hand. Things are changing so much and much more to come. So i would say get ready for more chaos...

Re: Accenture Business
As I welcome all to February, I am listening to the Finance Minister of India as he reminded all of what Gandhi Ji Noted, "....The Right Cause Never Fails...". I would humbly submit to all: Don't be afraid--be excited!!!
Onward to our new Month here in TT :) :)

...what Gandhi Ji Noted, "....The Right Cause Never Fails...".
Such a good thought and thanks for sharing. This has been proven and hence we should continue to remember and practice.

Re: Accenture Business
Yes definitely there will be more change to come. I guess all we can do is just wait and see what and when it'll happen!
Re: Accenture Business
@dlr5288:
I am with you and it is the wait game now.

Re: Accenture Business
I just hope it's something worth waiting for, but with technology advancing every day it most likely will be!
Re: Accenture Business
We can be rest assured of that. We have a good sense of what all is happening around at a high level.

Re: Accenture Business
@Joe - Yeah I can't imagine the current administration will be full of new regulations for any industry. It may be a good time for the telco's to all working on merging even more than they already have! Hopefully that would have a good outcome at least where our technology is concerned, even if it doesn't for what we pay for it. :-/
Re: Accenture Business
@elizabeth:
I agree with you that there will be more regulations to come. But i am not very sure yet if this new changes will be good for telco or not. I think it is still early to predict. May be in coming weeks we will get a better idea if what we have in store and how that would imapact telco industry.

He never quite articulates Bezos's Law
... but it does seem to me that now and then in the history of technology we've hit the point where tech development was so rapid that businesses stopped investing in the latest tech because it wouldn't pay for itself before it was obsolete -- ROI/t could never get high enough because t couldn't get short enough at market values.
Consumers are more immune to this than businesses because they don't make decisions in terms of dollars-per-dollar, but in terms of satisfaction-per-dollar.

Re: He never quite articulates Bezos's Law
You make a few really good points. It definitely makes sense that if technology is progressing really quickly, companies may not want to develop some technologies for fear they would be obsolete by the time they were introduced. Or even just wouldn't be relevant for long enough to make enough money to warrant their presence. That would definitely be a possibility, and an unfortunate one at that. There could be information learned from creating a piece of technology that otherwise would have been missed without it.
Also, you hit the nail on the head when you said consumers think more in terms of satisfaction per-dollar. I had never really thought of it like that, but you are in fact correct. Which would translate to consumers being willing to pay a higher price if they knew the product was worth it. Though it could still price some consumers out of the running, because no matter how much I think I'd enjoy driving a Corvette, I still can't afford one.
Accenture's Kahan: What Cloud Brings to Carrier Business
I totally agree we will can in the near future what the results are going to be. I also think witht he wait it can become very good or be very bad but it may be all with the specs with the technology bring to the game. The cloud is very powerfull and can be surpriseing with the technology these days.
