Re: B2B solutions
I think this is just natural evolution. OTT is looking ahead in terms of what it will take to generate revenue. Sure, margins on OTT are probably good. But it takes a lot of $5.99 subscriptions to make up for what some of these providers used to make in traditional cable.

Re: B2B solutions
dcawrey - That is certainly true. And why miss out on potential revenue when the opportunity is there. I'm sure some of these deals start off with a bundling discussion, and then it's - "well, why don't we just do it all for you, and white-label it?"

Re: B2B solutions
@Adi Very true. And I think anyone who has a stake in content will want to monetize and white label.

It's a no brainer. Why what for a service to come to you when you can just put it out there and charge a subscription for it?

Dual revenue stream
TV networks have long benefitted from a dual revenue stream -- advertising revenue from commercials inserted in their programs and carriage fees, charged to pay TV providers, for the right to carry their channels. Now it seems OTT providers are looking for the same two-sided revenue model. Create a direct-to-consumer service that consumers pay subscription fees for, and a B2B offering that monetizies the same technology via licensing fees.
