Re: Cartoon Contest
@msakkineni - we need to know how to apply it - just automating does not make it better.

Re: Cartoon Contest
..and what I saw just now is even more cause for concern that we ought to be aware of:

House to kill Obama-era FCC Internet privacy rules

The House passed a resolution on Tuesday that would eliminate the Federal Communication Commission's Internet privacy rules that were passed under the Obama administration.

The privacy rules required Internet service providers like Comcast and Verizon to get permission from consumers before sharing browser history and other user information.

Onward to Q2 with all its' possibilities..as I remain ever so optimistic despite the concerns I have noted throughout my "walkabouts"!! :) :)

Re: Cartoon Contest
What I call the "Battlestar Galactica" effect may well happen--and Elon of all people seems to embrace it.   We have to retain control and have the ultimate say in the destiny-that's at the heart of it.   For those Community member who may not know, here it is..and frankly scary:

Re: Cartoon Contest
@mouraryan, I think his vision of technology is one that can cause concern.  As advanced as he is, I do not see him as having a "nuanced" blend of AI with human intelligence!

Thanks for sharing!

Re: Cartoon Contest
Here is the thing,t hough--we humans are not doing ourselves much favor either with stories like this:
You Can Stop Hackers Even if They Have Your Password

A hacker group, called the Turkish Crime Family, claims to have access to 250 million iCloud accounts and is threatening to lock people out of their iPhones and other Apple devices on April 7, 2017. Scary, right? Not if you have two-factor authentication turned on for your account.

Two-factor authentication requires a second means of verifying that you are the account holder when you log in, which means you can keep your account safe even if hackers have your login information. And that second step is as easy as inputting a one-time code you receive in a text message or generate with an authenticator app on your smartphone.

The slight inconvenience of entering a code is well worth the extra peace of mind. So find out what you need to know about two-factor authentication and how to turn it on for your iCloud and other accounts in our story on Techlicious.

Re: Cartoon Contest
@DHagar, @mp:

Exactly, a bit unsure whether to call it a gain or loss...good with the technology advancement but will be beneficial if we have better control mechanism to minimize negative impacts if not avoid totally.

Re: Cartoon Contest
Elon Musk has long warned that the technology built by humans could one day lead to our destruction..

This is very much possible. But we may be able to prevent with some effort to some extent as creators. But certainly can't rule out some negative effects.
