Re: Amazon is the Best
@vnewman I set up a couple of dash buttons but haven't used them yet. I haven't found the right circumstance to try it out. The virtual button is a little odd when I can order easily from the Amazon app.

Re: Amazon is the Best
@vnewman WOW! I had no idea they did so well. I thought it might be a lot, but there are a lot of retailers selling wares online these days.

Also, I noticed on my Amazon home page they now have virtual "dash" buttons where you just click "Buy" on the button and your order is placed.  I have a number of physical dash buttons and was waiting for this - a natural next step.

Re: Amazon is the Best
@Michelle - Amazon was responsible for something like 46% of all online sales in 2016 - that speaks volumes.  If someone can up-the-ante even just a little bit, there's a lot of money to be made by taking that market share.

Re: Amazon is the Best
@vnewman I have wondered the same. They are promoting free two day shipping without membership and have been promoting grocery pick up too. I wonder what else they'll add in order to compete.

And in similar news, eBay just announced they are guaranteeing 3-day shipping on 20+ million items and have re-engineered their recommendation engine based on the "Netflix" model.

Re: Amazon is the Best
I'm curious to see how Wamart's push to compete with Amazon is going to pan out.  They've made a big push advertising push for their 2-day free shipping recently and now they've swallowed up Moosejaw (Outdoor retail) in an effort to boost their online sales.

Re: Amazon is the Best
The markets seem to embrace what Amazon is doing in a major way.  That's the key driving force here.

I am surprised that at least, in Canada, this is not happening.
