SD- WAN at $2.9 Billion by 2021
I think that it will be worth about that much because it will have plent to time to increase in revenue and do whatever is needed to make them better.

I love the apparent precision of that forecast. It is not $3 billion but just $100 million shy of that. I'm really OK with that, but I know some OCD-leaning people who would just cringe at such a number.

It's pretty pointless to have precision with these forecasts. They never end up being what they are supposed to anyways.

Why not just say $3 billion? That's a nice well rounded number if you ask me.

@dcawrey Let me guess, you'd identify with this:

I have no problem buying $14.79 worth of gas. But my husband would certainly push it to $15.

@dcawrey, ossibly they want to be able to say they beat the predictions?  Also, how many times do you know where they actually go back and compare real market growth against the projections?  Pretty safe odds!

Putting details aside, I do believe that SD-WAN will continue to grow and provide a valuable capability to enterprises.

@DHagar Okay, so I would guess that means if the market hits $3b then they have done their job?

That's a great way to work the numbers in your favor!

@dcawrey, yes, I propose giving them "1" if they actually hit their target and it exceeds their predictions.  Obviously, this goes to show my limited confidence in their ability to do that!  But if they did calculate it properly, let's give them points!

@DHagar, good point. How many times do you know where they actually go back and compare real market growth against the projections? Never. That is why you can't believe the numbers.
