@freehe:

Good briefing on Maslow Hierarchy, Thanks for sharing.

I agree that #5 is what is being highlighed in this context.

Re: Maslow Hierarchy
Freehe, Well, in a really dire situation you can use a cellphone battery to start a fire, so that might cover #1&2.

Re: Desktop Vs Mobile
Arielle, only problem is that for most of the trip it is a pretty dull thing to be immersed in -- very little relative motion of anything, just the earth getting smaller and moon getting bigger from day to day or week to week.

@JohnBarnes yes, it would make it feel more immersive.

Ariella, Not in this early draft (the physics is tough enough!) but if we ever commercialize it I think we will pretty much have to do that.

Re: Desktop Vs Mobile
@freehe they become data hoarders -- the digital equivalent of never throwing out a newspaper or receipt. It's just neater when you can store things in data centers rather than in hard copy format.

Re: Desktop Vs Mobile
@Ariella, Excellent point. I think the overall theme here is you have to take action. There are some many companies that capture pedabytes of data that is just sitting there. Why waste the resources and act of capturing data if you aren't going to use it. Stop capturing it.
