Re: Apple Music and HBO Europe
@Ariella  - SNP really needs that revenue growth to justify their valuation.  The networks win as well by getting in front of a population that basically ignores them.

The other cool thing is Snapchat's detailed viewer data lets them know the exact second viewers tap out of their show, so they can (hopefully) improve them!

Re: Apple Music and HBO Europe
@Adi it seems to me that everyone is becoming a content provider and working the ad revenue angle. The latest is Snap TV. The WSJ today reported on that https://www.wsj.com/articles/media-companies-line-up-to-make-shows-for-snap-tv-1493890205:

Over the past several months, Snap has signed original show deals with NBCUniversal, Turner, A+E Networks, Discovery, BBC, ABC, ESPN, Vice Media, Vertical Networks, the NFL and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc. It is also in discussions with CBS and Fox, according to people familiar with the matter. On Thursday, Snap plans to unveil another show deal with Food Network-owner Scripps Networks Interactive , SNI 2.63% which will produce offshoots of existing TV hits like "House Hunters" and "Chopped."

Snapchat hopes to have two to three new episodes of original shows airing each day by the end of the year in the "Stories" section of the app, which displays collections of snaps from friends, as well as stories from media outlets. The shows will be three to five minutes long.

Thanks for the links--What you underscored in your links is what I have lamented--the fact that AI is growing to be "and maybe" supplant humans.   We have to continue to be concerned and vigliant.

Although your view is commendable and welcome, it seems to be going against the grain as all the leading luminaries seem to think otherwise.
