Re: AI and IOT
@dcawrey, I full agree.  AI will provide the connecting stream of information for IoT; otherswise you just have added compounded data points.  Plus, AI and machine learning will enable users to identify what is important, relative to their goals, as opposed to simply adding more data - in the quantitative sense.

It will truly add and deliver intelligence to the user.

Re: AI and IOT
@mpouraryan, yes, I think all the major tech firms will, or have, recognized that AI gives context, meaning, and value to the technology.  This really develops the use case and emphasizes the value, as opposed to selling the technology itself.

Re: AI and IOT
I guess Apple is seeing something 2 this effect to as it has just done this:

Apple Just Made Another Big Investment In AI

Apple has acquired artificial intelligence startup Lattice Data for $200 million.

The deal, which closed a few weeks ago, will send about 20 engineers from Lattice over to Apple.

Lattice's technology focuses on making sense of "dark data," the mass of disorganized information stored in computer networks that can not be tapped into.

AI will continue to be a key area for the major tech companies, especially as the virtual assistant market continues to grow.

Re: AI and IOT
It is indeed exciting to be witness to this evolution--as long as a sense of humanity is maintained--there lies the challenge, right?

Re: AI and IOT
Very excited about these two technologies together!

It's a long way off, but has a ton of potential, that's for sure.

AI and IOT
The Internet of Things can use hybris systems and I like how AI/Artificial Intelligence has developed a way for them to use chatbots etc. I think if they they can use both or them together then great.
