How BT Learned to Love 4K
I agree and the 4k is alot better and the next generation of tv's but i think its overrated and i would rather have a hd tv than a 4k tv i think its just too pricey and not woth it. My friend has one and i didnt really see the difference but i can i see where the specs, the mgh is alot better but i can honestly tell you that with the specs and the technology these days i can wait to see what the next tv will be. I would actually prefure a google tv or a smart tv over this 4k.

Completely agree. We're constantly evolving especially when it comes to technology. It's crucial for people to keep up or they'll get left behind.

Re: Love 4K
Adi,

Also hard to tell how much generational adaptation will drive things until the next generation gets here.  Very few people in my parents' generation (born in the early 30s) ever really grokked the distinction between hardware and software -- in their accounts of what happened it was always just "the computer did this".  The first generation of telephone users supposedly had to be taught to speak to the phone as if it were a person; the idea that you talked through it wasn't there at first. So it's quite possible that the VR natives, when VR has been around long enough to have natives, will find our problems equally quaint.

Interesting that things were built so much from scratch (but then that's the advantage of having such a highly lucrative market -- you can do that). Sort of the equivalent of the moon landings or the internet itself -- it takes a big, big demand to drive things all the way from inception-at-nothing to fully-completed.

Wonder what other stuff is waiting in the wings for such an opportunity.

Afwriter - I would imagine so. There are gamers spending tons of time with VR so at least someone seems to be able to handle it

As I have been reflecting on a very challenging Month of changes and transformation, what @ADI noted is the predicament also faced by ESPN as it fired 100 of its' on air personalities.   IT is in the end about empowerment--isn't it?

It is nice to see the evolution no doubt.     The British Scene is quite competitive as it is--and what I will be curious to see is how BT will adapt as britain does the "Brexit" bit....

Evolution is an ongoing process, even now, like you pointed out with cell phones, I bet some people can do better with VR for longer periods of times than others.

Re: Love 4K
@dcawrey, I agree. That's me. I am not a huge sports fan but would much rather watch a sporting event at home in a relaxed environment versus attending a live event and having to pay for the event, pay for parking, pay for food, fight through traffic, find a parking space or catch public transportation, etc.

Although live events do give an much better experience versus watching at  home.

Re: Love 4K
@afwriter. I don't think so outside of taking some medication. The human body was not designed to use VR and technology. Some people have reactions to use cell phones, and electronic devices. Some people cannot be near electronic devices due to the electromagnetic waves which causes some people to have headaches, etc.
