Re: ONAP Industries
Open networks are still in flux. Proprietary is trying to win a campaign here, but I think it's better for there to be a more hybrid approach, which I believe is what we are currrently seeing today.

Re: ONAP Industries
@dcawsrey, you have hit a key point. The hybrid approach truly adds new value and creates a different result, making the differentiation greater - as opposed to just different.

Re: ONAP Industries
@DHagar It's all about creating new value.
Networks are growing ever more complex. Solutions cannot simply be about open vs. closed anymore. IT has moved past that. Some of it surely has been a generational shift, but nevertheless it is happening.

Re: ONAP Industries
@dcawrey, excellent assessment - I fully agree. It is about designing the solution as much as the selection for purchase. I believe your point about generational may be a key. We are going to have to think in different context to truly understand the differences.
Thanks for points.

Re: Is Cable On Deck?
@batye, it is a case of failing fast and falling forward. Once you let go of old ideas, you have the capacity to grasp which ones are relevant.

@batye, you have the key strategy - either sink or swim - the choice is ours! And swimming is so much better!
