Sky Italia Challenges
As I read threw this article it really got me thinkg. It seemed to me that OTT would be greater and so much better and saying it will make things easier.  I seriously think the biggest and badest challenge they will face is to prove to everyone that this would be the best move for everyone.  Everyone and that is including me are watching digital shows/movies.  I bet Netflix is working on AL right now.

Re: UHD
@elizabethv I bet they are.

However, I wonder how much cash its really worth to put into it. I suspect Apple is working on something similar, and they might just blow everyone else out of the water.

Re: Sky Italia Challenges
I think the current trend is watching digital streaming.

Netflix is surely working on integrating their OTT with AI capabilities. I already mentioned a link to one of the articles that talk about Netflix AI plans.

Re: Traditional TV
My kids use tablets and TVs, but when it comes to watching their favorite shows they always gravitate toward the big screen.

Re: UHD
Great link, thanks for the valuable info. You always hear about their movie and TV originals, but you don't often get a sneak peak at what Netflix is doing behind the scenes.

Re: UHD
My taste is so eclectic that I'm sure I would make an AI figurative head explode, but I would love to see what suggestions they could come up with for me. It only makes sense that Netflix would be doing something like this because if they keep suggesting something new for you to watch you will keep subscribing to their service.

Re: UHD
As much as I like these new OTT services, discovery of new content is really poor.

I don't know if it is because the depth of content is not good or the indexing. Either way, I spend way too much time trying to find good stuff to watch.

Re: UHD
Glad to hear that you enjoyed reading the info.

I was exactly thinking the same. We often get to hear about their programming, movies etc but never about their technology efforts. In a way it's good that they are silently progressing with not much of hype.

Re: Traditional TV
There you go.

That screen space is excatly the selling point with TV. Not sure if that can ever change, no matter for whatever the age group audience belong to. More than age it is the human nature. We tend to lean towards enjoying big screen picture better. So that way i have to say that these mobile devices would remain secondary choice when there are options available.
