Well said. Each customer has their own issues, wants, and needs. It's important to hear each out and see where to move from there.

Re: Open Source Agility vs.Web Scale Agility
@clrmoney, I agree. There are pros and cons to using open source versus web scale agility. Each company will have to determine if either service is the right option for their company current and future needs. It will be interesting to see which companies choose open source over web scale agility.

Solutions
I think each company has to determine the best solution to address their cusotmer needs and problems. When moving to a new technology or initiative companies have to have a good strategy, plan for organizational change, executive support and a contingency or mitigation plan.

Re: Open Source Agility vs.Web Scale Agility
@dcawrey. I agree. I don't believe every company needs web scale agility. I don't think every company needs to use open source because open source may not be a good fit for every company.

Re: Open Source Agility vs.Web Scale Agility
Does every organization large and small need web scale? That's an unlikely proposition. However, I would argue that every organization needs open source. It underpins so much of infrastructure today.

Open Source Agility vs.Web Scale Agility
I know Open Source has a lot to offer but them competing with Web Scale, I'm curious to see how that will turn out if web scale has something thats more advanced. But it will all work out in the end for them.
