Re: Verizon Pushes Back Launch
@srulofo I wonder if that gives an advantage to rival AT&T. I just heard its ad for programming that includes the Yankee games.

It is very much in line with what we've talked about on the creativity that is vital if content creators would be sustaining themselves!!

I tend to feel the same way about Verizon. Watching their strategies versus what AT&T is doing it is clear who the winner is right now.

Re: Verizon Pushes Back Launch
Working away after a bit of a "daycation" visiting TT as I saw this:

Disney Research Magic Bench Makes Augmented Reality a Headset-Free Group Experience

What it is: Disney Research has created the first headset-free shared augmented reality experience, dubbed Magic Bench. Leveraging Microsoft Kinect technology, the experience allows users to view themselves through a mirror with other characters sitting next to them. As one example, they might sit next to a rabbit or an elephant, feel them move on the bench, and hear their words as if they were sitting next to them.

Why it's important: Cumbersome head-mounted displays pose an obstacle to mass adoption of mixed reality experiences; in response, we're seeing a number of different approaches to this challenge, from holograms to this new approach from Disney. Look for many more combinations of sensory input to "level up" the social experience of this new medium

As I saw this, I could understand why Verizon is "balking"--especially as Disney wants to get into the same business....

Verizon Pushes Back Launch
Verizon seems to do things half-assed most of the time probably due to poor leadership. It's a New York-based company but parts of Long Island are still not able to get FiOs. It's getting into an oversaturated market with streaming TV. Come fall, maybe it will have its act together.

Verizon postponed online TV
I think it would be a wise decision if they are not sure or having problems with online TV. I know we see TV in almost everything like our smartphones tablets etc. So let's see will they have it together later own down the line.
