@mpouraryan You're right. Millennials probably don't even use gmail. They all text, although you do need to use email for other reasons.

Well, I am referring to tools like "Slack" /etc--I also need to remind all that the "new generation" are all about Text Messages/etc.--there lies the challenge :) :)

@Ariella Funny you should say that. I held onto emails from 2011 just because they were from former students when I was studying for my Master's degree. Finally, one day, just like that, in some crazy spontaneous mood, I deleted everything that was in there. I just went back in to look thinking I would find a nice empty email box. Nope. It had already repopulated itself to more than 2,000 emails. Oh well.

@mpouraryan What do you mean by the death of email as a tool? People still use email. What was it replaced by? Texting on mobile phones?

What is interesting to note, though, is how the death of email as a tool has been highly exagurrated.....

@Ariella Yes, I have gmail accounts, which are my main email accounts, but that AOL account has been around for so long, I don't have the heart to part with it. It had more than 10,000 emails in there at one point, most of them ads. If you don't use it for a few years, I think they just shut it down on you.

I am not laughing--as a matter of act, at times, I yearn for simpler times as epitomized by you've got mail (FYI the film "The Peacemaker" had it..and it was great as Nicole Kidman's Character was working away on a Digital Equipment Laptop). --yet, I continue to stay excited about the possiblities before us--the best is yet come as we all say farewell to this Q3 & bring on Q4.

@srulofo wow, we haven't been on AOL in years and years. We hopped over to Verizon some time back, but then when we switched our service, we just stuck with gmail accounts. Another difference: back in the day, we used just one email. Now every member have the family has one (or more) of his/her own. If anyone still tries to reach me on the old emails, they're just out of luck. We did retain the Verizon account for an extra year just to allow that access, but not any more.
