Re: Time Out
@Ariella - make them a Faraday Cage and I'm sold! Much more portable than the one in the cartoon anyway. And then we won't have to worry about being hacked.

@Michelle - Lol, I never even thought of it like that. Some people definitely need to find phone booths for their conversations. People who yell into phones are horrible.

Re: Time Out
@Michelle Maybe we need to come up with some pop up privacy boxes that people can carry around with them to keep their conversations private. Maybe something like this pop up tent for changing.

Re: Time Out
Agreed! I would like to hear fewer loud phone conversations in public. We thought phone booths were such a waste of space...

Re: Time Out
@vnewman Yes, some people don't care if they are overheard. I guess so long as they are not discussing something that is legally required to be confidential, it's OK for them to comnpromise on their own privacy. But it is so common for people to chat away with abandon that there are some specially designated "quiet" train cars where passengers are supposed to be able to escape the noise.

Re: Time Out
@Ariella, I'm laughing at your comment and realized how much I despise talking on the phone in front of other people.  I rarely make calls when other people are around which is why I like texting so much.  I'm not sure why it bothers me so much - I guess I don't like people listening to what I'm saying - I also think it's distracting.  It doesn't seem to bother other folks however - they are happy to chat away on their phone!

Re: Time Out
<Haha! I must have been thinking about co-workers who use speakerphone with the office door open. They should go to time out for it>

Yes, or have their own cones of silence. That's one thing we've lost in rendering phone booths obsolete -- a relatively private place for phone conversations.

Re: Time Out
Oh my! There's nothing quite like a noisy office neighbor. You get all sorts of information you don't want and with regularity.
