Cloudy for 5G
I know that a lot of people are excited about this 5G thing buy being with cloud may be positive or negative in a way depending on the outcome and what businesses are currently looking for in advancement.

Personally, I hope that the journey towards 5G can be a motivator for [telcos] to take those steps." 

 

I think it will be. 5G has been talked about for long enough that most of us that are even slightly connected are anxiously looking forward to the new possibilities. This has to be multiplied greatly for telcos who are going to be able to profit and grow from their participation in 5G.

OpenStack should help standardize 5G efforts and help spread the service by reducing costs a bit and reducing the "re-inventing the wheel" in development.

@mhhf1ve yes you are right as would help to create one set for all - the way I see it and it would create a little savings at the end...

@mhhf1ve - Which really changes the entire development because hopefully the technology will be far more interchangeable from one provider to the next. Everything seems much more streamlined when the technology is more universal than proprietary.
