Re: Makes Sense
@batye Absolutely. A company I worked at was constantly changing everything, and sometimes it was annoying having to stop what you were doing to get the training for some of those things.

Autonomous cars?
I'm skeptical that autonomous cars will rely heavily on 5G wireless tech. Even the few remote backup services for autonomous cars are targeting latency times measured more in seconds rather than milliseconds.

Re: Makes Sense
@batye Yes, technology changes and at some point, whether people realized it or not, they changed too. Sometimes it's painless, other times they go kicking and screaming. A good example is moving to the cloud. What is taking companies so long? It's surely the way everything is going to be done. Without changing, you will become obsolete. I always turn back to the example of BlockBuster. That company just did not understand what it needed to do, as compared to Netflix.

5G Growth in the Future
I think that it takes time to build growth on what ever you're doing so this 5G things to me is no different but as times goes one you will more likely see drastic changes because people have use for it in a lot of ways.

Re: Makes Sense
@Michelle That would be great for your father. My husband just upgraded his phone from a 3G! It was all cracked too. That's how long it takes some people to move along with technological advancements.

Re: Makes Sense
@afwriter In the end, just as with everything else, people will be kind of forced to move to 5G as the older technology will probably become obsolete. Also service providers will definitely find a way to make revenue from 5G.
