And the Winner of the TT Cartoon Caption Contest Is...![]() Telco Transformation brought in a professional to judge the latest cartoon caption contest. Cartoonist John Klossner -- who creates the cartoons for the caption contests -- waded through the 217 comments to find our three winners while also providing a rundown of the runner-ups. (See TT Caption Contest: The Robots Are Coming!) We'll work our way down to the three winners, but first here's a look at the other notable captions that Klossner picked. (And as David Letterman used to say: "Please, no wagering.")
The Joe Stanganelli division "Don't get me wrong; I like Apple devices. I just wouldn't want one marrying my daughter." "I set my out-of-office response to 'I'm afraid I can't do that,' and now Dave is freaking out." "Now remember... Don't drink the water." "I just can't switch off." "You're still thinking about work, aren't you?" Honorable mention "They say in a hundred years, all our jobs will be done by humans," – Shaunn "When they implemented a plan that linked vacation time to productivity, they never envisioned this," – Ariella "The cabana boy told me that thing floating in the water is called a 'life saver,' but I'm still not clear how to connect to it so I can save my files to it," – faryl "Why is that guy wearing Hank on his wrist?" – afwriter Finalists No. 6: "Yeah, same story here, the guy didn't read the contract and thought he was my owner; I got a bad power filter for a while and instead of taking me in for a replacement he kept whacking me to see if it would make me start. The judge sent me up for eternity," – JohnBarnes No. 5: "Thanks Lenny" "You're welcome, 130.109.175.103," – Shaunn No. 4: "That must be one of those new T800 models," – Shaunn And now for the winners. Coming in third place and winning a $50 Amazon gift card was "I think this waiter misunderstood our order for a couple screwdrivers..." – mhhfive In second place for the $75 gift card was elizabethv's "It's so nice to sit back and not worry about Malware for awhile." Taking the top spot and the $150 gift card was Stanganelli's caption “Do you ever want to get back to it all?" Thanks again for all of the great captions. I'm glad I didn't have to pick the winners this time. Klossner is close to having another cartoon ready for our next caption contest, so stay tuned. — Mike Robuck, Editor, Telco Transformation |
