Re: Apple Files For Mistrial On Patent Infringement
Wow, that is interesting. Apple has a history of patent infringement with companies such as: Samsung, Ericsson, OpenTV, and Kodak. This is an example of lack of enforcement in the U.S.

Companies get away from defrauding customers and other businesses for millions or billions or dollars and retain their jobs while the average American who get a speeding ticket losses their car insurance or a criminal who steals a purse goes to jail for years. The countries priorities are out of balance.

Apple Files For Mistrial On Patent Infringement

Apple Files For Mistrial On Patent Infringement

Now this is something to take notice of Apple has filed for a mistrial in the patent infringment lawsuit of $625.6 million just a few days after being ordered to pay. Who does Apple owe $625.6 million for damages to, well "VirnetX, which is regularly described as a "patent troll," sued Apple claiming it infringed on four patents related to communications protocols patents used in iMessage, FaceTime, and VPN on Demand, as well as the Apple devices using the software. Apple was found guilty on all claims, but the company now says lawyers for VirnetX used "arguments outside the evidence and blatantly misrepresented the testimony of Apple's witnesses" in closing arguments this week, according to legal blog Texas Lawyer.".

VirnetX only has fourteen employees but there office is located in Zephyr Cove, Nevada but it filed the lawsuit in Tyler, Texas which is known to side with patent holders in infringment cases. VirnetX has been describe before as a patent troll.

Apple has been dealing with Virnet since 2012, that was when they had sued the iphone maker and won the judgement of $368 million, but later on down the road it was thrown out.
