Moving from one platform to another should be seamless to customers. She stated that they need buy-in, convergence, auditors and regulators, and support from the CEO. I agree that all companies need these.

The project consists of 600 people, wow, that is amazing.

Great point to start testing in a small country then expand to larger country. She is definitely transforming her company and the industry.

Planned deployment of 50 new platforms will displace 650 existing ones. And in the first real product test, one platform went up where 30 had prevailed. Impressive numbers. And they're moving toward virtualization target ahead of locked-down technology. That's one telco in a hurry.

Step by step advances...
As with most telco deployments, it sounds like the regulatory hoops and customer education make things a bit slower than might be expected in other tech realms. Can't just "beta test" your way out of adhering to privacy regulations and making sure customers don't see service disruptions.
