This is very interesting and very correct. I also think the carrier should be able to make more changes for less but the technology they dont think of it as a problem but it aint and will be more sucessfull over the years.

Re: leadership
You're onto something there. As per MWC 2016, the theme of the day is "big." Aggregated acquisitions might pass that test and reach significant levels.

Hmm, but a number of small acquistions could add up to something signficiant.

Re: leadership
And, of course, Huawei is going to need to pull market share away from the other big competitors in this space. At the summit this week they mentioned some small acquisitions will be in the offing, but said nothing big.

'Rotating CEO' - how did I miss that? Looks like Huawei's had that unique management system going since 2011. Though it's more like a rotating 'acting' CEO. Ren is still top-dog CEO. And big goals - to hit them they'll certainly need strong export game.

Re: all cloud
@Mike, thanks for information.  That is an incredible undertaking.  I would think that if they are able to achieve the "all cloud" approach, they will be in a unique and optimal position as a total platform.

all cloud
This "all cloud" approach is across equipment, network, operations and services for Huawei. (Huawei has already moved to the cloud in its backend operations and service layers.) It's going to take some time, but it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Re: Huawei Revenues Over the Top
Mike, incredible!  But this is one company I believe can do it.

They have the vision, focus, leadership, and proven ability to execute.  The letter of their CEO at the beginning of the year was one of the most articulate vision/leadership letters I have seen.  They are clearly "driving" the markets they are in and I believe they will reach these incredible goals.  Also, their identification of key trends (cloudification for telecoms) could just enable them to meet/exceed their targets.

We will have to put this on our calendars to watch.
