This comment makes me wonder how the US compares. The US certainly started earlier than 2010 and is likely a much more mature market now... and it'd be interesting to see similar numbers for the rest of the world.

<SVOD is the region's largest OTT revenue contributor with 58% of the overall 2021 total. Digital TV Research estimated that there will be 31.87 million SVOD subscribers by 2021 compared to 11.22 million at the end of 2015.> I'm so used to the 2020 predictions, but I guess now taht we're just about halfway through 2016, the standard 5 year projection has to be moved to 2021. I would love to see follow up then about how close the estimates are to the real numbers.

Not much of a surprise
OTT brings the promise of allowing viewers nearly complete control over their viewing habits. Who wouldn't love that possibility? No matter what their nationality and background. Not to mention it is significantly more affordable than most previous options. This is obviously going to speak to a large range of consumers from all across the globe. It's definitely the business to be in right now!
