Re: Netflix down a little
I agree with you. I think both businesses have different content. Neither has everything, which is unfortunate. However, I don't think one is actually better than the other. At least in my opinion.

Re: Netflix down a little
@mpouraryan - I think you are definitely the odd man out, at laest where streaming is concerned. I actually have run into very few people that have also had Amazon, muchless truly preferred it to Netflix. I'm actually partial to having both, since they do have different content. But as far as actually watching shows, aside from the ability to download, I don't notice any kind of obvious difference to make me prefer one to the other. Each has it's place on my phone, and televisions, and neither is likely to leave any time soon.

Re: Netflix still wins
That is crazy. I can't believe how much growth is happening. I think it'll only grow more and more in the future.

Netflix still wins
"Taken together, streaming audio and video are now generating more than 70% of evening traffic on fixed networks, and Sandvine expects this figure will reach 80% over the next four years. And that's against a background of overall traffic growth on ISP networks, with Cisco forecasting Internet traffic will reach 2.3 ZB per year by 2020."

These are incredible statistics. How will companies handle this continued growth? Currently users experience issues when steaming video on low-end or free sites such as YouTube and experience video freeze issues.

I think I read that Amazon discontinued selling Apple TVs recently though - so I guess that will be unlikely!

Re: Netflix down a little

It is absolutely spot on and then some!!

It is probably one of the best civics lessons there is--one learns much about Government, Leadership, Transformation and Vision in the 42 Minutes of the episode than in any textbook anyday.

The "West Wing" is one of my favorite "classics" to watch on Netflix - sad how many of the issues still ring true and haven't changed since it aired though :-/
